a morning entry! yes, that's right. my eyes are stinging and my throat is burning, my head's shaking and my arm's are shaking and yep, it's a little early for me.

went to see the trachtenburg family slideshow players on tuesday with liz, dan and mitch. but then liz left cause she was feeling sick and good thing she did cause the show may have made her sicker. ok, they were super fun and rachel trachtenburg is super duper cute and i want to be her best friend but their choices of opening bands were barf. first band was that delicious dish skit from SNL + freaks and geeks * moldy peaches / nyu tisch. second opener was zooey daschenel (and that is a big compliment because that girl is hot and second opener just looked like her un petite peu) + russell crowe (in 30 odd foot of grunts mode) + charo / crocodile dundee (the 3rd one!). that's the first time i've done maths in a long time.

in baseball news, the mets said goodbye to fonzie, who was one of the best mets in recent years and to rey rey, who was one of the worst. so i guess that balances things out. it's really hard to think this early.

everyone come to the LATVIAN AMERICAN CHRISTMAS EXTRAVEGANZA at P:anos on Saturday, December 21st, starring Macitajs on Acid (a Latvian love punk band - how can you resist?).

stupid r.e.m. is touring in 2003. sigh.

taking a break from hugging the space heater. our heat is sitll not fixed.

it snowed today, a brilliant storm with huge hungry jack flakes. snow in new york always makes me think of jimmy, who
lived across the hall in the first house, well apartment, i ever lived in, in sunnyside, queens. he was santa claus. a catalog model who posed as st. nick for macy's and other companies. i don't have too many memories from that time, but jimmy's one of them. the others being the plastic smily face bowling pin toys i had, which i hid under the couch, pancake shaped gum with dipping "syrup," my pink slip on sneakers with strawberries printed on them and my wacky packages album. my memory is selective. tomorrow i'll be back in sunnyside for the first time in years.

i'm looking at this radiohead-related thing which i'm planning to give to andrew for his birthday. i'd forgotten what a good song "stop whispering" is.

the mets are rumored to have signed tom glavine to a 3 year, $30 million deal. sounds good to me. how many more days do we have to get rid of rey-o?
